An International Learning Journey
At Kings Schools International Bratislava, our curriculum provides a clear and progressive learning journey from Early Years through Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary education.
International schools teaching English and local language
We combine internationally recognised programmes with adaptations that reflect our international community and local context. Alongside academic knowledge, students develop confidence, independence, critical thinking, creativity and a love of learning.
Assessment & Student Progress
Supporting Learning and Progress
Assessment at Kings is an integral part of learning. It helps teachers understand each student’s progress, identify strengths and areas for development, and plan appropriate next steps.
Ongoing Assessment
Assessment takes place throughout the school year through classroom work, projects, quizzes, assessments, practical activities and examinations where appropriate. Students receive regular feedback to help them understand what they have done well, what they can improve and how they can continue to develop.
Keeping Parents Informed
Parents are kept informed through reports, parent-teacher meetings and the school’s communication systems. International reports are provided four times during the school year and include information about progress, attainment, effort, behaviour, attitude to learning and social development.
Slovak Reporting
Alongside international reports, students receive official Slovak Vysvedčenie reports at mid-year and the end of the academic year, in accordance with Slovak Ministry requirements.
A Healthy Balance
We aim to maintain a healthy balance between assessment and student wellbeing. Assessment is designed to support learning and progress rather than create unnecessary pressure.

A structured next step that deepens knowledge, independence and critical thinking through an internationally minded curriculum.
Ages 14–16
International
GCSE (9–1)
A broad and recognised academic pathway with subject choice, clear progression and preparation for advanced study.

Advanced Level

A focused pre-university stage offering academic depth, flexibility and progression towards leading universities worldwide.
