On 28 September, our Year 3 and Year 6 students swapped their classrooms for the outdoors and spent the day exploring Železná studnička and Partizánska lúka, accompanied by Mr. Simon and Mr. Olai.
The day began with a walk through nature, giving students the opportunity to explore their surroundings while enjoying time outdoors together. Along the way, they took part in different movement activities on the natural playground before making their way to the campfire area.
Learning outdoors also provided an important opportunity to develop practical awareness and responsibility. Students discussed how to behave safely in natural environments and how their actions can help protect and respect the places they visit.
After a morning of walking, exploring and activities, everyone enjoyed their packed lunches together, followed by one of the highlights of the day — roasting marshmallows around the campfire.
Experiences like this are an important part of learning at Kings Schools International. Beyond academic knowledge, outdoor education encourages students to develop independence, cooperation, physical confidence and respect for the natural environment.
With beautiful weather, plenty of movement and lots of shared experiences, it was a wonderful day of learning, exploration and connection beyond the classroom.
